Target became the Dayton-Hudson Corporation in 1969 after its merging with the J.L. Hudson Company and since then, Target held the ownership of several chains of department stores such as Dayton’s, Marshall Field’s, Hudson’s and Mervyn’s.

On February 2, 2019, 1,844 stores of Target operated throughout the United States of America. The company is however ranked thirty-nine on the Fortune 500 list of 2018 of the largest United States corporations ordered by total revenue.

The various retail formats include Target’s discount store, the Super Target hypermarket, and City Target and Target Express which are the “flexible format” stores previously set up before being consolidated under the entire Target branding.

Target is often recognized for its ultimate focus and emphasis on “the needs of its younger and image-conscious shoppers”, whereas its competitor Walmart highly relies on its strategy of “everyday low prices”.

Owing to Target’s huge customer base, it is natural that there might be returns or refunds associated with orders.

Here we will be providing you with the Return Policy of Target. The policy is as follows:

  • Most unopened items sold by Target are in new condition and the ones which are returned are returned within ninety days.

  • Items which are opened or which are damaged or which do not have a receipt may be denied any refund or exchange.
  • Most of the unopened items sold by the combination of Target and any Partner, if in new condition and returned within ninety days, only will receive a refund.
